The Dionae on Xrim have formed a unique society as they have not only utilized large gestalts to rebuild the ruined labs of the planet, but the gestalts also act as pseudo-AI systems, with the gestalts able to monitor the insides of their “body” and report on trespassing or inappropriate activity. They are even able to operate the “doors” of their gestalt as required and communicate with anyone who might be within their “bodies”.

History

During the 2060’s several Dionae were pulled from an unknown location by Glorsh-Omega, and scattered with numerous other fauna and flora across Xrim. This initial event is seen as the humble beginnings of the cluster, where the species would soon rapidly spread through-out the planet, taking over much of the abandoned infrastructure left behind by the Skrell. During this initial period, the Dionae assimilated the Skrell left behind into themselves - allowing for sentience to form.

With little to no obstacles in their path, their growth was uncontrollable. Spreading far and wide across the entirety of the southern continent before the inkling of sentience that formed suddenly sprouted into the splitting of ideologies - with most blaming the splitting on the discovery of the true actions of Glorsh-Omega through the recovery of a crashed cruiser on the southern shores. Thus, the division of the Dionae reared its head and two distinct groups developed - the Oscrin and Oskron. The Oscrin developing an affinity for Glorsh-Omega, whilst the Osckron began to despise the intelligence.

The two groups eventually encroached on each other, thus leading to a series of numerous small fights on the edges of the cluster's respective territories. It was only after an ‘agreement’ was founded that the skirmishes ceased - ushering a newfound era of prosperity in which the Dionae continued to grow, not only in size but intelligence as well. The now somewhat united cluster pushed their efforts into discoveries that would increase the quality of life across the planet, and give rise to a growing population of Dionae that wishes to travel among the stars and settle new planets.

The formation of the Klarc Satellite Array was monumental for the Dionae on Xrim. It allowed for the monitoring, and emitting, of frequencies that could be detected within a few parsecs of Xrim - where eventually the array would hailed as a defining point in the planet's history, giving way to the ability to potentially communicate with Glorsh-Omega, or any other species that were capable of spaceflight. The Klarc Satellite Array would come into use almost a century after its completion - in 2445 CE, when it established first contact with the Skrell.

Culture

Dionae can be found all across Xrim - majority of them assisting the Skrell in studies of the numerous fauna and flora. Although those that worship Glorsh-Omega are still present the Skrell try their best to 're-educate' them before allowing them to travel off of Xrim. The Skrell have also slowly begun to recolonise Xrim - giving the Dionae more opportunities to expand their horizons.
