As an officer of the National Police, it is your duty to enforce the laws and keep Aoyama safe. Just like every city ghost role, your character must be a Konyanger native. This means a Konyanger appearance, accent and cultural background.

The Department

Superintendent

The Superintendent is the head of the precinct, with authority over all officers on the same shift. Patrolmen should listen to them and respond to their orders.

Senior Patrolman

The Senior Patrolman is ranked above a Patrolman, and is usually an experienced officer in charge of a beat. Patrolmen should listen to them and follow their directions.

Patrolman

The Patrolman is the lowest rank in the force, and is tasked with carrying out the day to day duties of law enforcement.

Policing Point Verdant

The National Police are ghost roles, available only on Point Verdant. This means that they should stay there, patrolling the city and responding to calls whenever needed. The police academy has made sure that all officers possess knowledge on firearms, proper arresting procedures, Konyang law, evidence collection and rudimentary forensic skills, allowing use of the forensics laboratory in the precinct. Police have a variety of supplies to their disposal, including less than lethal and lethal weapons. You also have your own shortwave radios, allowing for communication between officers on a custom frequency.

Processing Horizon Crew

Should an officer need to arrest a Horizon crewmember, they are going to have to go through a procedure of identifying and logging the incident. Specifically, you have to make a note of:

  • The suspect’s name
  • The crime committed
  • Any witnesses to the crime
  • Any evidence (forensic evidence, photos, statements)
  • The summary of the incident
  • A well-lit photograph of the suspect

Then, after the end of the round, be sure to make an arrest report [on the forum.]

Be sure to read [Konyang Law] to determine whether a suspect is eligible to be released or not. If they are released, note down the name of the guarantor, who should be a Horizon employee.

Antagonist actions will render any arrest non canon. Do not make arrest reports if the incident included antagonists.

Interacting with 5-Cheung

An uncomfortable reality for the Konyanger police is the presence of “criminal elements” who are entrenched in many of the planet’s cities. For that matter, Aoyama is under the control of the so-called [5-Cheung]. Police should be careful to maintain the balance between security and maintaining the fragile peace between law enforcement and the 5-Cheung’s Rokkaku clan, who considers the corporate district their “turf”.

  • Do not detain or arrest them for no reason.
  • Look the other way if the gang is conducting any unsavory but discreet business.
  • Arrest 5-Cheung if they are openly being a nuisance, or a danger to others.
  • Do not allow the 5-Cheung into any restricted areas in the precinct.
  • Do not allow the 5-Cheung to seriously harm any Horizon crew.
  • Do not break the law to cater to 5-Cheung’s demands.
