Founded in 2381 and dedicated to private military contractor education, the expansive Station of the Eridani Federal Military (SEM) Apex and Fort Sunder is the cutting-edge example of a training facility for both the Eridani Federation Military and any prospective students rich enough to afford the attendance fees.

SEM Apex and Ft Sunder was established in low orbit of Oran, and is one of the largest military bases operated by the Eridani Federal Military. It serves as a major training centre for both the Federal Army and Federal Navy; however, as with many things Eridanian, the Academies' facilities are open to anyone willing to pay their way. With courses and regimens on offer aiming at anything from civil policing to corporate security to full-fledged military training, organisations across the Spur offer promising new hires the opportunity to study and train here under one scholarship or another, although the vast majority of the Academies' graduates tend to be home-grown for the Eridani's expansive set of private military contractors.
