==Interacting with 5-Cheung==
* Application of lethal force is often not the only solution to an issue. Lethal force should only be pursued if all other routes are tried and fail.
* Do not needlessly escalate situations, you should be working to defuse any potentially hostile situation, rather than resort to your weapons.
* You are a Corporate Security Officer not a Police Officer or Entity of a Military. Your job is to ensure the safety of your corporation’s investment (I.E. Smooth operation of your assigned vessel).
* Apply escalating force as deemed necessary by the suspect’s actions. Minimal force as required by a situation should be applied.
* Minimal force should be used at all appropriate times, but not at the risk of your own life.
* Talk first (unless the suspect lets their weapons do the talking).
* Heads of Department have the final say over their department, and their department areas, consult them before asking for people to be suspended for crimes (barring Central Command/Captain ruling).
* Ensure access is properly cleared with Heads of Departments, or members of departments, barring exceptional circumstances (i.e. major crime in progress).


An uncomfortable reality for the Konyanger police is the presence of “criminal elements” who are entrenched in many of the planet’s cities. For that matter, Aoyama is under the control of the so-called [5-Cheung]. Police should be careful to maintain the balance between security and maintaining the fragile peace between law enforcement and the 5-Cheung’s Rokkaku clan, who considers the corporate district their “turf”. Keep in mind that by and large Konyang's police are not corrupt, but are instead pressured from above to give some leeway.

The Konyang National Police is a set of Ghost Roles that are available in Point Verdant. They are available for the Human and IPC species.

First off, read the Guide to Ghost Roles. As an officer of the National Police, it is your duty to enforce Konyanger Law and keep Aoyama safe. Just like every city ghost role, your character must be a Konyanger native. This means a Konyanger appearance, accent and cultural background. They must also speak Sol Common, be 20 years of age, have completed compulsory military service and must have passed police academy training.

The Department

Superintendent

The Superintendent is the head of the precinct, with authority over all officers on the same shift. Patrolmen should listen to them and respond to their orders.

Senior Patrolman

The Senior Patrolman is ranked above a Patrolman, and is usually an experienced officer in charge of a beat. Patrolmen should listen to them and follow their directions.

Patrolman

The Patrolman is the lowest rank in the force, and is tasked with carrying out the day to day duties of law enforcement.
