| Infamous for holding some of the most dangerous fauna and flora in the galaxy, the badlands are home to rough-living colonies, the imperialist Izweski Hegemony, the Dominian frontier, the burgeoning People's Republic of Adhomai, and the peaceful but guarded of the Republic of Elyra. The wildlife's biodiversity attracts all sorts- Xenobiologists, xenoculturalists, weapons testers and industrial magnates to say a few. Settlers and civilizations here pride themselves on their durability and their will to overcome whatever harsh conditions they face here. But, as the major local powers here expand, the knot tightens on free colonies trapped between them, adding another issue to their attempts to continue their survival. With the collapse of the Sol Alliance and the expansion of Elyra's navy, it appears that nothing may stop the rise of the local powers.
