| In the chaotic aftermath of the Solarian Alliance’s retreat to the Jewel Worlds, much of the now-leaderless territory fell into a state of warlordism, with Solarian Fleets who refused the order to return to Sol setting up states of their own. To the galactic north of the Republic of Biesel lies the Northern Wildlands, the largest section. Divided up between Solarian Restoration Front, Middle Ring Shield Pact, and, the The League of Independent Corporate-Free Systems. These three powers, plus the Free Solarian Fleets, who take contracts for the defense of the Shield Pact, seem to be heading for war as tensions mount with both the League and Restoration Front dream of uniting the Northern Wildlands under their banner. The outcome of such a battle is unsure, and the fate of those stuck in the Wildlands hangs in the balance.
