This is a list of improvised weapons that you can build. Keep in mind that most of these are contraband.

Ranged

Crossbow.png Powered crossbow

Crossbows can fire metal rods or bolts.

  • Planks.png Make a crossbow frame using 5 wooden planks.
  • Crossbowframe0 new.png + Rods.png Attach 3 metal rods.
  • Crossbowframe1.png + Welderon.gif Use a welding tool.
  • Crossbowframe2.png + CableCoils.png Attach 5 lengths of cable coil.
  • Crossbowframe3.png + Plastic.png Attach 3 sheets of plastic.
  • Crossbowframe4.png + CableCoils.png Attach another 5 lengths of cable coil.
  • Crossbowframe5.png + Screwdriver tool.png Use a screwdriver to finish.
  • Crossbow.png + Power cell.png Optionally, add a power cell to heat any metal rods you put in the crossbow. (To remove it, use a screwdriver)

Pneumatic.png Pneumatic cannon

Pneumatic cannons can fire anything you can fit in it!

  • Metal.png Make a cannon frame using 10 metal sheets.
  • Pneumatic0.png + Pipestraight.png Install a length of straight atmospherics piping.
  • Pneumatic1.png + Welderon.gif Use a welding tool.
  • Pneumatic2.png + Metal.png Attach 5 metal sheets.
  • Pneumatic3.png + Welderon.gif Use a welding tool again.
  • Pneumatic4.png + Valve 1.png Install a tank transfer valve.
  • Pneumatic5.png + Welderon.gif Use a welding tool once again to finish.
  • Pneumatic.png + Handheld-Plasmatank.png Add a gas tank (right-click -> eject tank to remove).

Pipegun.png Pipe gun

Pipe guns fire 5.56 caliber bullets. You can create makeshift 5.56 magazines for them using 5 steel sheets.

Pipe guns will become dirtier the more you use them and jam more often the more dirty they are. Use a rag from a custodial closet to clean them.

When a pipe gun jams, repeatedly use toggle firing mode to clear it.

  • Metal.png Make a firearm receiver using 15 metal sheets.
  • Receiver.png + Pipestraight.png Install a length of atmospherics piping.
  • Planks.png Make a rifle stock using 10 wooden planks.
  • Ishotgun1.png + Riflestock.png Attach the rifle stock.
  • Ishotgun2.png + Taperoll.png Attach duct tape.
  • Ishotgun3.png + CableCoils.png Attach 10 lengths of cable coil to create a sling.

Ipistol.png Improvised pistol

Improvised pistols fire .45 caliber bullets using standard .45 magazines.

Unlike the pipe gun, the improvised pistol does not require cleaning, but it does still periodically jam.

When an improvised pistol jams, repeatedly use toggle firing mode to clear it.

  • Metal.png Make a firearm receiver using 15 metal sheets.
  • Planks.png Make a rifle stock using 10 wooden planks.
  • Riflestock.png + Hatchet.png Carve the rifle stock into the shape of a pistol handle using a hatchet.
  • Ipistol1.png + Receiver.png Attach the receiver to the pistol handle.
  • Ipistol2.png + Pipestraight.png Install a length of straight atmospheric piping.
  • Ipistol3.png + Welderon.gif Shorten the barrel with a welding tool.

Melee

Wiredrod.png Wired rod

Wired rods are used in the construction of two melee weapons, the spear and the cattle prod.

  • Cablerestraints.png Make a set of cable restraints from cable.
  • Cablerestraints.png + Rods.png Use a metal rod on the cable restraints.

Spear.png Spear

  • Materials.gif Break a window to get a shard of glass or create a spearhead using 6 sheets of any other material.
  • Wiredrod.png + Largeglassshard.png Attach the shard of glass or spearhead to a wired rod.

Stunprod.png Cattle prod

An improvised stun baton.

  • Wiredrod.png + Wirecutters.png Attach a pair of wirecutters to a wired rod.
  • Stunprod nocell.png + Power cell.png Add a power cell. (To remove it, use a screwdriver).

Stungloves.png Stun gloves

A cheap, concealable, one-use weapon. Attacking someone with these knocks them down for a couple of seconds. After each use, the power cell has to be recharged.

  • Blackgloves.png + CableCoils.png Attach 2 lengths of cable coil to any pair of gloves except force, latex, nitrile or boxing gloves.
  • Wiredgloves.png + Powercell.png Attach a power cell.

Using wirecutters will remove the power cell and then the cable coil.

Pike0.png Pike

Just like a spear, but with an attack range of two tiles!

  • Planks.png Make a shaft using 5 wooden planks.
  • Materials.gif Make a spear head using 6 sheets of any material.
  • Shaft.png + Spearhead.png Attach the spear head to the shaft.

Square shield.png Buckler

  • Planks.png Make a Buckler donut using 20 wood planks.
  • Metal.png Make shield fittings using 10 steel sheets.
  • Bucklerdonut.png + Shield fitting outer.png Use the shield fittings on the donut.

Steelsword.png Handmade sword

  • Materials.gif Make a sword hilt using 10 sheets of any material but glass.
  • Materials.gif Make a sword blade using 15 sheets of any material but glass.
  • Swordhilt.png + Swordblade.png Attach the blade to the hilt.

Armour

Improvchestplate.png Improvised Chestplate
