==History==
===Twilight of the Aphrodite Epoch===
The Underhive Collective began with the influx of information surrounding the narcotic effects of Aphrodite, a chemical injected by Nymphs when ingesting genetic material, most commonly seen when siphoning blood. It provides a sense of euphoria and requires no other means of production other than Nymphs. The chemical very quickly became popular within the underbelly of the Eridani Federation. Nymphs were soon illegitimately acquired from Rueltab. It is unknown how they were acquired, but for a time, these activities went unnoticed, until the substance began to trickle into the upper echelons of the Federation – sometime around 2398 CE. It wasn’t long until many began to notice the bleary eyes and bite marks on their employees, so too did they realise the ability of Nymphs to retain memories compromised the non-disclosure agreements of thousands if not hundreds of thousands.

Due to the lack of any initial action, the Aphrodite Trade managed to put the Eridani Federation into minor political turmoil with the Solarian Alliance, as the presence of Dionae within the Federation violated the Rueltab Treaty, meant to prevent or at least mitigate, the habitation of Dionae outside of Rueltab. It wasn’t long until the Aphrodite Trade sought to expand, with concerns of it spreading amongst the Solarian Colonies – these concerns were subsequently met following a random inspection of a vessel en route to Venus housing Nymphs. Despite the potential for profit, the Board of Five took action in 2421 CE. Formally banning the use, distribution and presence of Dionae within the Eridani Federation. All would legally be classified as contraband, and crackdowns began as corporate enforces began to file through all levels of the Federation. While within the upper echelons, predominately the Suit Society, it was successful, the trade remains rife in the lower socio-economic classes, with Dregs maintaining the trade, albeit with a significantly reduced ability.
=Overview=
Liberty's Cluster are a successful minority of Dionae which live in the Republic of Biesel. Having been in the Republic for nearly a century, they have flourished despite their origins as Rueltab Survivors.

===Dawn of the Underhive Collective===
=History=

The origin point of the Underhive Collective remains in obscurity. No Dionae has ever formally claimed to have found it, and there is no general consensus among those that remain within the Eridani Federation. However, rumours of a Dionae-only community did begin to circulate shortly after the Board of Five sought to crack down on the presence of the species. These rumours were confirmed after the “Tokura-Den Incident”. A major Aphrodite harvesting facility secretly nested within the settlement of Den was rocked with explosions, large enough for it to be felt in the above complex of Tokura. As corporate enforcers arrived at the scene of the explosion, alongside the general chaos, there was a notable lack of Nymphs in the extraction and holding areas. Footage was eventually found that uncovered a rather unsettling truth – Dionae creeping through the tunnels and underpasses of Tokura, before disappearing into the shadows or tunnels. Since the Tokura-Den incident, more and more illegal Aphrodite facilities have been hit, and sightings of Dionae have become more and more frequent. Although there is a concern of what these Dionae are capable of, they are currently only actively targeting the Aphrodite Trade, and have proven to be too elusive to root out in totality. The Board of Five have released subsequent confirmations that the situation is under control.
Following the Rueltab incident in 2378, where one of the largest-known Dionae sustained roughly 50% casualties and fractured following an attack against Solarian vessels, all survivors of the Rueltab would be considered indebted to the Solarian Alliance and forced to labor to work it off across Solarian space, with most being sent off to various planets as industrial labor or forced into contracts by the megacorporations operating within solarian space. Out of this group, some would be sent to Biesel starsystem to work largely on the nascent colony of New Gibson to aid in its construction. This group of original exodites would, over time, band together to form what is now known as the Liberty's Cluster, sticking together to survive the planet’s harsh environment, even for Dionae, as the cold would only slow the species down and the ever-present darkness would withhold natural light. United in survival, their former origin, and still developing faith as they tried to find a place in their new lives, the cluster’s inhabitants would eventually gain enough influence to petition for their relocation off of New Gibson and towards the much more favorable planet of Biesel, still serving as labor in the construction of Mendel’s district 11, but having a much easier existence and chance to thrive.

===Proliferation of the Underhive Collective===
Over time, the newly migrated cluster would begin to call the district home, initially taking up residency in various abandoned buildings as the district became neglected in its construction, but under the leadership of Connected To The Blossoms Beyond would expand and construct what would eventually became the Eternal Gardens, the cultural capital of Dionae within Biesel’s borders, and, in turn, come together to form the Eternal Church, creating a unified voice for the species while cementing their place in the system. Over time, members of the cluster would spread across the rest of the system’s planets, eventually residing on Valkyrie and returning to New Gibson, if much smaller in population compared to Biesel itself. New Generations, spared from the trauma of Rueltab, would eventually take root, born into Biesel culture and beliefs, with most grasping towards it; even if some would choose a different path independent of Biesel and potentially the Eternal itself, and despite being the prominent majority of Biesel’s Dionae population, Dionae independent of the cluster would over time come to reside in the system as well, largely seeking a place within the Eternal Church’s safety.

The Underhive Collective very rapidly became a feared organisation amongst the Dregs of the Eridani Federation. Actively attacking those associated with the Aphrodite Trade. Explosions rocked many of the facilities used to hold the Dionae captive – seeking to harvest them of the chemical. Dregs associated with such crimes against Dionae could find themselves disappearing – oftentimes for good. Those who were returned to their settlements were more often than not thought to have gone insane, showing schizophrenic tendencies, claiming that Dionae are always around – watching, listening, stalking. More often than not, they’d be found dead just weeks after their subsequent return, rumours circulating of being anatomically defiled – stripped of their organs, sometimes even drained of blood.
==Culture==

It was only confirmed in 2443 CE that the Underhive Collective was an organized syndicate of Dionae, where corporate enforcers – after a particularly brutal death of a Dreg – were able to follow a string of evidence to one of these Dionae-only communities. Though many were able to escape, a minority of the population was captured. Those captured were subjected to truly torturous conditions, forcing them to reveal the reality of the Underhive Collective, or at least the reality from their perspective. Beginning as a means to ensure safety in numbers, they quickly became a criminal syndicate as a means to survive. Dealing Aphrodite themselves, and ensuring their competitors were shut down to maintain a monopoly, rationalising the decision as being voluntary as opposed to being forced to secrete the chemical. The bigger picture was thereafter revealed, dozens of these syndicates existed, with their location hidden except from selected Dionae, typically only those recognised as leading the respective syndicates.
===The Exodites===

=== The Modern Age of the Aphrodite Trade ===
Exodites are the first generation, of what would eventually become Liberty's Cluster, to have arrived in the Biesel Republic. Most of these were routed from the Rueltab system, through New Gibson, to assist with construction on the nascent colony. Afterwards they dispered into the wider republic, Especially on Mendell and Valkyrie.

The Republic of Biesel, as a result of the megacorporate influence in the Eridani Federation and the now-defunct Bluespace Gate, were among the most impacted by the Aphrodite Trade. However, the Eternal in conjunction with the pressure applied by the Megacorporations, were able to ensure that the extracted chemical would be recognised as a controlled substance under Biesellite law. It is therefore illegal to force or coerce a Dionae to provide Aphrodite. This has led to a rather robust inspection of most Eridani cargo – any individual found in possession of the chemical shall have it seized and will be charged appropriately, as well as any Dionae materials. Dionae from the Eridani Federation have slowly been trickling into the Republic of Biesel. They are treated as political refugees, undergoing registration and chipping, then deferred to the Eternal Gardens. They each confirm that the Underhive Collective still operates, and many owe their lives to the syndicate.
Due to their collectivistic nature, societal upkeep is a strongly held value for Exodesists, and this extends to all aspects of public or civic life for them. Volunteer or charity work is extremely common, and enlistment in the military is seen as mandatory. Whereever the Exodites reside, the streets are cleaner, and the infrastructure is less tarnished.

== Syndicates ==
Key industries that The Exodites specialize include waste management, landscaping, public infrastructure, trades, construction, and sanitation. Much of the skillset used to break down, salvage, and recycle refuse dumped into the Rueltab translates well into these fields. Exodites see this also as a means of giving back to or rewarding the Nation of Biesel for recieving them into their borders, and later on accepting them as members of the country. Many of these Exodites have become irreplaceable fixtures of the organizations they work for, not interested in advancement, rather, fulfilling personnel vacancies as they see fit, and passing on knowledge to the new hires.

'''These are the only known syndicates operating in the Eridani Federation. Players may only select from these options. The location of these syndicates is a well-kept secret. If a Dionae reveals it, they are at risk of repercussions for their action.'''
===Vagabond Culture===

=== Mycelumias===
Many Exodites often go through extended periods of self-imposed Vagrancy. This practice is a distant holdover from when they were once part of the Voidtamer Confluence, drifting through the endless expanse of space. This coupled with their extremely low maintenance compared to other species means that Exodites usually only acquire homes or rent appartments as a passing fancy, or if they are siring more gestalts into the world. Otherwise, many retain their possessions in storage units, where they may occasionally rest before venturing into the streets once more.

The Mycelumias, or just Lumias, are a renowned Aphrodite syndicate within the underbelly of the Eridani Federation. Some have claimed that it has operated since the creation of the trade. Hosted somewhere in the depths of the dreg settlement of Den, the Lumias are thought to be responsible for the Tokura-Den Incident, though they have never formally claimed responsibility – despite the Board of Five attributing it to them. Thriving in the labyrinthine hideouts across Den, hidden from the prying eyes of the Federation’s upper echelon, the sprawling network of tunnels and caverns has become a haven for Dionae. Among the debris and decay, the Lumias have established a stronghold.
These Vagabonds do not wander listlessly, without awareness or intent, however. They are constantly absorbing information from their surroundings through observation, memorizing every nook and cranny, gathering information across all spectrums of light and sound. Many, particularly in Mendel, even keep animal familiars that they are able to share minds with.
This makes Exodite Vagabonds particularly in touch with the many disparate concerns of Biesel's populace, and because of their propensity to assist those around them, they have become a welcome feature of the many urban centers they roam.

Utilizing their abilities, and collective consciousness, they have been able to – with unparalleled coordination and secrecy – manage to keep the syndicate from being discovered. It is suspected to house nearly 40% of all the Dionae within the Eridani Federation – making it even more surprising it hasn’t been discovered by the corporate enforcers of the Federation. The Lumias are involved in a myriad of activities, from the trafficking of rare and valuable resources to the orchestration of complex heists and sabotage operations. Their intimate knowledge of the tunnels and the Dionae's natural abilities make them formidable opponents. They have forged alliances with the other syndicates, creating a web of connections that spans Eridani I. Despite their shadowy existence, the Lumias are not entirely isolated from the upper echelons of the Eridani Federation. They have established clandestine trade routes and covert communication channels with sympathetic elements within the Federation. These connections allow them to acquire essential supplies and information.
===Attire===

===Glowcaps===
Traditionally, Exodites are garbed in hooded brown robes, decorated with trinkets or items of significance found during their vagabond treks. Underneath their robes, they are covered in pouches, bags, and satchels, a vestige practice from their nomadic days as Voidtamers. Affixing gentle noisemakers is common practice, such as bells or wind chimes, usually as a courtesy to passerby of Vagabond Exodites, as they tend to eavesdrop on conversations by accident.

The Glowcaps are significantly smaller than the Lumias, likely sporting somewhere between 10% to 15% of the total Dionae population within the Eridani Federation. Nestled within the crumbling infrastructure of New Kivu, the Glowcaps have become somewhat of a “Robin Hood” type syndicate – plundering food and materials from Ifihan, delicately so as to not upset the balance of their existence too much. In spite of their apparent nobility in redistributing resources to the underprivileged Dregs of New Kivu, the Glowcaps are far from universally admired. Their activities are a double-edged sword, with their efforts to aid the Dregs overshadowed by their darker dealings. The Glowcaps are notorious as the principal dealers of Aphrodite within the settlement. This substance is often used in exchange for additional resources such as biomass and batteries, crucial for maintaining the minimal lights the Glowcaps manage to secure. The Glowcaps' involvement in the trade has complicated ramifications. On one hand, they provide a valuable and sought-after substance that sustains their operations and supports their community's needs. On the other hand, their role in the trade has led to widespread addiction and dependency among the Dregs, exacerbating the already dire conditions within New Kivu. Their operations are covert, utilizing the shadows and the complex infrastructure of the Dreg settlement to avoid detection. Despite this, the rudimentary mercenary forces that patrol the settlement are a constant threat, adding an additional layer of risk to the Glowcaps' activities. The mercenaries often clash with the Glowcaps' operatives, leading to skirmishes and heightened tensions.
=The Biesellions=

===Sporeveils===
The Biesellions are the second generation progeny of the Rueltab Exodites. For Biesellions, They have not experienced the outcome of the Rueltab incident personally, nor do they have experiences of the time before in the void. This rift in a shared experience is ultimately what distinguishes Biesellions from simply being an extension of their Exoditic parentage, and even though the generations are able to merge and share memories this way, A Biesellion would see the experiences of their parents as a distant memory. Something separate and externalized.
Biesellions know nothing else except the Republic and its people, and are inculcated in human culture. Most of them are Singular Sound mindtypes, due to their relatively young age and human influences.

'''Players are allowed to make a character from the Sporeveils, but secretly. They are an antagonistic entity within the lore, and no megacorporation would hire a Dionae with such allegiance. At least not one publicly declaring their allegiance to it.'''
===Community, Family Structure, Upbringing===

The Sporeveils comprise likely between 5%-10% of all Dionae within the Eridani Federation – they are the smallest syndicate, but the most vicious. Nestled alongside the Lumias within the sprawling underground complex of Tokura – Den – they have managed to eke out an existence coveted in assaults, murders and power plays. They are rarely seen, and when they do make themselves known they usually marked by bloodstains to symbolize their allegiance to the Sporeveils. They are commonly called the Den Boogeymen – and many attribute the disastrous Tokura-Den Incident to the Sporeveils as opposed to the Lumias. Uniquely, they do not peddle aphrodite – instead, they attack the Dregs of Den, oftentimes kidnapping and forcing the individual to become hooked to the chemical. In exchange for the chemical, at a much lower cost, these Dregs act as the eyes and ears of the Sporeveils; providing them with information and essential supplies to maintain their existence. Even the Lumias stray away from dealing with the Sporeveils, it isn’t unheard of for the latter to attack the former’s operative – especially if they are close to harming their own activities.
Every single member of Liberty's Cluster can trace their lineage to the Rueltab Titan. Because of this, and their biologically asexual nature, Liberty's Cluster is internally an extremely high trust society where every member shares a familial bond with each other.
Biesellions are typically sired and raised communally by like-minded Exodites that band together and pool resources. Biesellion "childhood", or The Siring Period, has many parallels to the upbringing of other children of the republic. They participate in the same school system as everyone else until they graduate Highschool.
Rather than attend college or university for their higher education, Biesellions study at Eternalite colleges; Accredited institutions that are funded and operated by the Eternal Church. In addition to a conventional curriculum, these colleges are the only institutions in the Republic where blood or genetic learning is facilitated and sanctioned.

==Society==
==Subcultures==
Unlike Exodites, Biesellions are significantly less culturally uniform. Biesel has left an individualistic impression on the Biesellions, and there is much more plurality and subculture among them as a result.

===Rackets===
===Erudites===

In the clandestine world of the Underhive Collective, the term "Racket" refers to the collective work or projects undertaken by members of a particular syndicate. These rackets are crucial for survival and financial stability, given the risky nature of operating inside the Eridani Federation. The precarious environment necessitates the use of intermediaries and meticulous planning to avoid detection by authorities. The close-knit nature of syndicates ensures that a Racket is never a solo undertaking. Profits from these ventures are always distributed equally among members. The syndicates typically maintain close contact, sharing funds and long-term goals, ensuring that no member of their syndicate is left behind.
Erudites are Biesellions that feel a close connection or a desire for their Exoditic-Voidtamer heritage. Erudites, as implied in the name, pursue a scholastic lifestyle in close association with the Eternal church, versing themselves in the sciences as well as Eternal theology.
Erudites often find Biesellite culture and way of life to be extremely isolating or atomising, lacking any shared identity or community. Their relationship to the Republic itself is one of dispassionate support, rather than die-hard loyalty. Fascinated with the Voidic perspective, they see the Republic as a temporal construct, one that they very well might outlast within the span of their lifetimes; many Biesellions often turn to Eruditism when they outlive their temporal friend groups.
Until a point in time which makes it impossible, Erudites see themselves as stewards and caretakers of the Republic, following in the footsteps of the Exodites. Unlike Exodites, which focused more on the land and infrastructure of the republic, Erudites prefer to assist by tapping into their deep reserves of learned knowledge. Erudites usually lend their services to academia and government, though they occasionally lend their knowledge and expertise to the privatized megacorp sector.

The most popular rackets involve digital enterprises that exploit the extranet and remote networking. These operations can range from legitimate online businesses to illicit activities such as scam calls and hacker groups. The anonymity provided by the digital world makes these rackets attractive, as they can be conducted with minimal physical risk. Some common digital rackets include legitimate online businesses; these can include anything from e-commerce sites to freelance services, providing a legal facade for more covert activities. Scam Operations; phishing scams, fraudulent schemes, and fake tech support are common, targeting unsuspecting victims to extract money or information. Hacker Groups;  skilled hackers form collectives to carry out cyber-attacks, data breaches, and other illicit cyber activities, often for profit or strategic advantage.
===Loyalists===

Salvage rackets are the next most popular form of work. The Dionae physiology, adapted to harsh environments, makes them well-suited for wading through dumping sites and scrap yards. Ordinary Dregs, the common inhabitants of the underbelly of the Eridani Federation, often lack the physical capabilities to undertake such tasks. Salvage operations are not only lucrative but also essential for the sustainability of the Underhive Collective. These operations have given rise to the native Scrapper population, individuals who specialize in reclaiming valuable materials from waste.
The Rueltab Incident was one of the worst handled first contact events in current galactic history. One of the reasons why the Republic of Biesel was so willing to accept Rueltab survivors from the Solarians, was out of spite of the incident. While the Exodites have moved on, Some of their progeny have not, and their indigence towards the Solarians is only matched by their patriotism of the Republic. These Loyalists hold the Republic and its values dearly, it's success and continued operation being existentially tied to the survival of Liberty's cluster. Loyalists have a strong martial culture, Enlistment in the Tau Ceti Armed forces is high, and often treated as a rite of passage in this subculture.
Loyalists are also the most politically active of the Biesellions, with the topic of the place of Megacorporations and the SCC in the Republic being strongly polarizing among each other.

===Religion===
===Mavericks===

The Underhive Collective, shaped by its environment and circumstances, is overwhelmingly Ichor Eternal. This belief system, also known as Blood Eternal by those less familiar with its deeper tenets, emphasizes the exploration and utilization of Dionae's genetic learning abilities as a pathway to ascension. The Underhive Collective's religious landscape is characterized by a strong sense of community. The egalitarian nature of rackets extends to religious practices, with profits and resources shared equally among syndicate members. Living in the Underhive presents numerous challenges, both physical and spiritual. The harsh environment and constant threat of discovery by authorities require resilience and adaptability. Religious practices often evolve to meet these challenges, incorporating practical elements that enhance survival and community cohesion. The emphasis on genetic absorption in Ichor Eternal is not only a spiritual practice but also a pragmatic response to the need for diverse skills and knowledge in a resource-scarce environment. By acquiring knowledge and abilities through genetic material, members can quickly adapt to new situations and tasks, improving their chances of survival.
As close to rebellious as Dionae in Biesel can get, Mavericks encompass Biesellions that feel significantly less bound by shared obligations or Dionaen collectivism. Instead, they embrace the more individualistic, libertine elements of Biesellian society, and seek new experiences rather than hard knowledge or unity, unlike the Erudites or the Loyalists.
This drive for individual freedom is about as much as most Mavericks have in common with each other, however, and to what end they take their ambitions varies significantly. Some continue to seek knowledge and pursue The Eternal in their own idiosyncratic manner, others are materialists: ambitious hustlers that wish to make their mark, and their bag. Others are curious of the other cultures, and become well versed in the doings of other species.
There are some lines that Mavericks will not cross, however. Mavericks still see themselves as familial extensions of Liberty's cluster, they will not turn against them. The paths they choose to take with their sense of independence must in some way relate to the benefit of the Cluster. Likewise, abandoning worship of the Eternal is completely out of the question.

==Demographic Relations==
=The Eternal Church of Biesel=

===Dionae and Suits===
The Eternal Church is the central institution to the social and political life of Liberty's Cluster, Rivaling the Republic itself. It was formally established in 2434, through the joint cooperation of the Exodites and religious authorities from the Voidtamer Confluence.
It is a monolithic institution that serves the functions of worship, research, education, study, and cultural exchange between the Voidtamer Confluence and Liberty's Cluster. It is the center of community life and identity in Liberty's Cluster.
From Blossom's Beyond is the current leader of the church: a merged Argus composed of the then leadership of Biesel's Exoditic enclave, and the head of the religious envoy sent to Biesel. Its mission is to instill the cultural heritage of the Voidtamers into Liberty's cluster, to document or study Temporals and their creations, and to maintain balanced relations between the Church, The Republic, and The Voidtamer Confluence.

Among the suits, Dionae are regarded with disgust and contempt; Dionaen presence in the Federation is in direct violation of the Rueltab treaty. The fact that Dionae managed to proliferate within the Federation is a stain on the suits' clean record of legalistic integrity between them and the Solarian Emprie. Dionae are seen as pests and vermin that act as agents of the federation’s underbelly. Nymphs found caught out on their own are usually dispatched, while fully formed gestalts are usually deported to Biesel or the Rueltab system.
=Enclaves=

===Dionae and Dregs===
==Biesel==
Playing host to the primary home of both the Liberty’s cluster, Biesel has over time become known to host one of the largest populations of Dionae in human space. Initially, the Dionae of Liberty’s Cluster were funneled into New Gibson to aid in the construction of the colony, but thanks to the planet’s near-inhospitable nature to Dionae, many of these initial inhabitants would band together to petition to migrate to Biesel itself. This group, united in origin, survival, and faith, eventually would be allowed to settle in Mendel’s District 11, sent to aid in the construction of the newly up-and-coming district. Despite all efforts and thanks to a myriad of factors, this endeavor would eventually fail, but the migrated Dionae population would be allowed to remain in the district as it would become neglected by the city, falling to crime and poverty. The initial exodite planet would, in order to remain safe while nurturing the next generations of Dionae, largely stick together in a united community, eventually paving the way for what would become the district’s Eternal Church and Eternal Gardens.

Among the Dregs, they are tools to be used, and resources to be exploited. Dionae nymphs are typically prevented from merging into gestalts; this is to ensure obedience and dependency from the nymphs. Most of these nymphs under dreg ownership are either used as portable Aphrodite dispensers, or are strapped into specialized machines that continuously trigger the siphon reflex to harvest the drug on its own. Infrequently, they are used as work animals for interrogation, information gathering, prospecting, and scouting.
Biesel’s Dionae population faced a near-constant struggle as they would have to keep themselves safe against the district’s crime while looking for employment and, as time went on, sought more rights and guarantees for their existence in the system. Most would remain in District 11, but others, whether wishing to escape the church’s growing influence or just for safer pastures outside the district, would leave and find sanctuary elsewhere in the planet, coming to settle in Scottsdale and Phoenixpoint as part of its industrial workforce, and latter of which recently leading to a significant increase in Einstein Engine’s Dionae workforce as they acquired the city.
Dionae based prosthetics are rare, due to the availability of cybernetics in Eridani. They are usually the telltale signs of a prominent dealer or Aphrodite junkie, and are extremely incriminating to have.

===Underhive Scrappers===
Those who would remain in District 11 would see a marketable increase in their quality of life over time as the Dionae enclave in the district saw development, going from a small collection of makeshift constructions and repurposed buildings to what would become known as the Eternal Gardens.Over time, the initial Exodite population would be overtaken in numbers by the newer generations, primarily consistenting of the Biesellions, those who did not live through the Rueltab, only coming into existence once their forebearers settled on the planet itself. This relatively younger population would be influenced less by their time in space or horrors of Rueltab, and instead by their time on the planet and with human company, finding their place within the planet’s population.

IPC Scrappers and the Underhive collective mutually share the same condition: They start incomplete, cast out, shunned by society at large, and left to fend for themselves. So naturally, they have made an excellent symbiotic pairing: the Collective will rescue and induct abandoned positronics. In exchange, scrappers act as the inconspicuous face and muscle of the organization, venturing where it is too dangerous for underhive dionae to expose themselves, and protecting them where they choose to reveal themselves. Underhive Dionae will often communicate through their positronics remotely, usually via the IPC’s speaker system, and sometimes even through visual output feed of a chassis.
==New Gibson==
Serving as the original home of Liberty’s cluster in the republic, much of its Dionae population has since migrated away towards much more habitable planets for the species, chiefly Biesel, if still leaving behind a rather large enclave of Exodite Dionae within the planet’s surfacer population. In more recent years, however, the planet has seen a new wave of Dionae migrates from Libery’s cluster, often those who would be considered Mavericks in the cluster’s eyes.

Many scrappers are employed in a technical capacity as well, thanks to their ability to onboard or retain new data packets; their ability to interface closely with technology is also prized by the collective’s cyber-infiltrators.
Initially, The Dionae of Liberty’s cluster were sent to New Gibson to serve a construction and industrial workforce on the colony, an existence that, thanks to the planet’s freezing atmosphere and limited sources of natural light, made it difficult for Dionae to survive on the planet. This group of Dionae, the initial Exodites, would eventually band together to form the earliest iteration of a unified Dionae Community within the Republic, lobbying for resettlement in Biesel to aid in the construction of District Eleven.

==Mindtypes==
The majority of New Gibson’s population would mostly relocate away from the planet in due time; however, despite all the difficulties in doing so, they would leave behind an enclave of Exodites who decided to stay for one reason or another, mostly due to the sentiment of the location they held as something they helped build. Over time this population would largely integrate with the planet’s surface dwellers across various Ovanstads, helping aid the planet’s industrial and tourism-based workforce, if preferring to stay in the warmth and light over jobs leaving them out in the cold and darkness.

Underhive dionae can assume any mindtype, with a bias towards the more pluralistic ones. The exceptions that do not or barely exist are bloodless band, singular sound, and mourning mass.
Starting in the 2450s, a new wave of Dionae migrants would make their way to the planet, still members of the Liberty Cluster, but wishing to escape the ideals of the Eternal Church and most of the cluster itself. This group, becoming known as Mavericks, slowly made their way to the planet, largely seeking a new life on the planet’s surface, but with some making their way to the underground. Despite much of this population being considered young for the species, they were often highly intelligent and skilled in the labor they could provide, giving them a place in the planet’s workforce, but causing some strife as they were often seen as outsiders by the New Gibsonite population. While uncommon, thanks to the planet’s inhospitable nature to the species both above and underground, some of this Maverick population would end up turning to lives of crime, commonly in the underground as they seek out necessary resources to survive.
Singular sound is rare, as underhive dionae are typically formed piecemeal. Bloodless band is impossible, as the conditions to form one and the lifestyle it encourages are impractical. There are no documented instances of Mourning Mass dionae within the Underhive Collective.

==Settlements==
==Valkyrie==
Hosting a relatively small attachment to the planet, Valkyrie has never held a significant of a Dionae population, instead largely being made up of smaller communities of the various subgroups that make up Liberty’s cluster, with one notable exemption being as the home of the Erudites, or those from Liberty’s Cluster seeking a closer connection to their void-bound heritage. These Dionae can be found dotted throughout the entirety of the planet, tending to stick together as smaller groups rather than any large or centralized communities, remaining largely within or adjacent to the planet’s habitation domes, largely employed as dockworkers or in some form of logistics. Rather than being driven by opportunity or careers, these Dionae tend to simply be motivated to earn credits to help fuel their beliefs, allowing them go on pilgrimages if not eventually earn enough to be able to independently live amongst the stars once more, if more of a dream for most as the costs for ships remains steep.

Underhive Collective cells are scattered throughout the Federation, their locations and local customs only known to their members. There is only one settlement that those of the Underhive dare to speak of, and each time, the information about it's purpose and location is given.
While far from permanent residents of the planet, many Dionae have come to view Valkyrie as a rest stop between various voidic outings, largely trader and mining crews. These Dionae will often dock at the planet for some time as they sell their goods and restock, remaining in the larger settlements of the planets. Outside of the Erudites, the Eternal church also hosts a small but noteworthy presence on the planet, hosting several temples, shrines, and pilgrimage sites across both its surface and around its orbit.
Known simply as '''The Archive''', It is rumored to be the largest settlement of the Underhive Collective. It's ultimate purpose is unclear, but those outside of the collective theorize that it is a massive data center that remotely coordinates the Underhive within the federation, as well as externally.

Overview

Liberty's Cluster are a successful minority of Dionae which live in the Republic of Biesel. Having been in the Republic for nearly a century, they have flourished despite their origins as Rueltab Survivors.

Culture

The Exodites

Exodites are the first generation, of what would eventually become Liberty's Cluster, to have arrived in the Biesel Republic. Most of these were routed from the Rueltab system, through New Gibson, to assist with construction on the nascent colony. Afterwards they dispered into the wider republic, Especially on Mendell and Valkyrie.

Vagabond Culture

Many Exodites often go through extended periods of self-imposed Vagrancy. This practice is a distant holdover from when they were once part of the Voidtamer Confluence, drifting through the endless expanse of space. This coupled with their extremely low maintenance compared to other species means that Exodites usually only acquire homes or rent appartments as a passing fancy, or if they are siring more gestalts into the world. Otherwise, many retain their possessions in storage units, where they may occasionally rest before venturing into the streets once more.

Attire

Traditionally, Exodites are garbed in hooded brown robes, decorated with trinkets or items of significance found during their vagabond treks. Underneath their robes, they are covered in pouches, bags, and satchels, a vestige practice from their nomadic days as Voidtamers. Affixing gentle noisemakers is common practice, such as bells or wind chimes, usually as a courtesy to passerby of Vagabond Exodites, as they tend to eavesdrop on conversations by accident.

The Biesellions

Community, Family Structure, Upbringing

Subcultures

Unlike Exodites, Biesellions are significantly less culturally uniform. Biesel has left an individualistic impression on the Biesellions, and there is much more plurality and subculture among them as a result.

Erudites

Loyalists

Mavericks

The Eternal Church of Biesel

Enclaves

Biesel

New Gibson

Serving as the original home of Liberty’s cluster in the republic, much of its Dionae population has since migrated away towards much more habitable planets for the species, chiefly Biesel, if still leaving behind a rather large enclave of Exodite Dionae within the planet’s surfacer population. In more recent years, however, the planet has seen a new wave of Dionae migrates from Libery’s cluster, often those who would be considered Mavericks in the cluster’s eyes.

Valkyrie
