Overview

The 1st Antag Spy Contest is a mini-game provided to Aurora Players that uses antagonist actions on the station to advance a meta-narrative. Several spy agencies of the large factions of known space compete to advance the ultimate objective of their civilization. These objectives are intentionally made to bring the factions into conflict with most all other civilizations. The consequences for agency success or failure are intended to have serious ramifications for the fate of that species.

The Contest is overseen by the Loremaster Jackboot. Players who join the station as antagonists, and only players who are antagonists, can participate in the contest as agents.

After Action Reports are posted by players in the thread dedicated to the contest. http://aurorastation.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=32682#p32682

The Rules

When you complete an antagonist objective, whether you fail or succeed, you post your After Action Report on the forum thread for the contest. AAR's are meant to be posted at least semi-IC'ly, as if it is your actual character providing a report. Only antagonists may be agents for the spy agencies. Changlings, cultists, vampires, and wizards are not qualified.

While the events are canon within the lore of the Aurora universe, your character does not continue to be an agent during rounds where they have not been selected as an antag. Even if you were an operative that stole valuable secrets in the round prior, you must still act as if it is a normal day at work for you in the next round.

The NSS Aurora is currently the only available setting available for players. But because events in this contest are canon, the NSS Aurora can't be the target of spies and terrorists every day. Because of this, different targets will be selected for players after their AAR is posted. For example, a kidnapping and bombing during a nuclear round would be written as if it happened to an Alliance station, or another Nanotrasen station. The names of those involved (if not agent identities which allow disassociation from the character outside antag rounds) are also changed, unless all involved parties agree to keep it canon. This has serious repercussions and most often means the permadeath of the character and must be discussed with the loremaster.
