Improvised Weapons

This is a list of improvised weapons that you can build from parts around the station. Keep in mind that most of these count as contraband.

Ranged

Powered crossbow

Crossbows can fire metal rods or bolts.

• Make a crossbow frame using 5 wooden planks.
• File:Crossbowframe0.png + Attach 3 metal rods.
• + Use a welding tool.
• + Attach 5 lengths of cable coil.
• + Attach 3 sheets of plastic.
• + Attach another 5 lengths of cable coil.
• + Use a screwdriver to finish.
• + Optional: Add a power cell to heat any metal rods you put in the crossbow. (To remove it, use a screwdriver)

Pneumatic cannon

Pneumatic cannons can fire anything you can fit in it!

• Make a cannon frame using 10 metal sheets.
• + Install a length of straight atmospherics piping.
• + Use a welding tool.
• + Attach 5 metal sheets.
• + Use a welding tool again.
• + Install a tank transfer valve.
• + Use a welding tool once again to finish.
• + Add a gas tank (right-click -> eject tank to remove).

Pipe gun

Pipe guns fire 5.56 caliber bullets. You can make makeshift 5.56 magazines for them using 5 steel sheets. Pipe guns will become dirtier the more you use them and jam more often the more dirty they are. Use a rag from a custodial closet to clean them. When a pipe gun jams, repeatedly use toggle firing mode to clear it.

• Make a firearm receiver using 15 metal sheets.
• + Install a length of atmospherics piping.
• Make a rifle stock using 10 wooden planks.
• + Attach the rifle stock.
• + File:Ducttape.png Attach duct tape.
• + Attach 10 lengths of cable coil to create a sling.

Improvised pistol

Improvised pistols fire .45 caliber bullets using standard .45 magazines. Unlike the pipe gun, the improvised pistol does not require cleaning, but it does still periodically jam. When an improvised pistol jams, repeatedly use toggle firing mode to clear it.

• Make a firearm receiver using 15 metal sheets.
• Make a rifle stock using 10 wooden planks.
• + Carve the rifle stock into the shape of a pistol handle using a hatchet.
• + Attach the receiver to the pistol handle.
• + Install a length of straight atmospheric piping.
• + Shorten the barrel with a welding tool.

Melee

Wired rod

Wired rods are used in the construction of two melee weapons, the spear and the cattle prod.

• Make a set of cable restraints from cable.
• + Use a metal rod on the cable restraints.

Spear

• Break a window to get a shard of glass or create a spearhead using 6 sheets of any other material.
• + Attach the shard of glass or spearhead to a wired rod.

Cattle prod

An improvised stun baton.

• + Add a pair of wirecutters to a wired rod.
• + Add a power cell. (To remove it, use a screwdriver).

Butterfly knife

• File:Plasteel.png Make a knife grip using 4 plasteel sheets.
• Make a knife blade using 6 sheets of any metal.
• File:Butterfly1.png + File:Butterfly2.png Attach the knife blade to the handle.
• File:Butterflystep1.png + Use a screwdriver to finish.

Buckler

• Make a Buckler donut using 20 wood planks.
• Make shield fittings using 10 steel sheets.
• + File:Shieldfitting.png Use the shield fittings on the donut.

Handmade sword

• Make a sword hilt using 10 sheets of any material but glass.
• Make a sword blade using 15 sheets of any material but glass.
• + Attach the blade to the hilt.

Armour

Improvised Chestplate

• Make two armour platings. This can be out of steel, plastic, plasteel or wood.
• + Add cable to one of the armour platings.
• + Use one of the armour platings on the other.

Improvised Helmet

• + Use wirecutters on an empty bucket (plastic or wooden.)
• + Use 2 sheets of any material of your choice. (Steel, Plasteel, Glass, Plastic and Wood all work.)

Other

Improvised Radio Jammer

• + File:Screwdriver Use a screwdriver on two remote signalers so they can be attached.
• + Attach them to each other.
• + Attach a power cell by using the signaler assembly on it.
