The Surgeon role is a more specialized version of the Medical Doctor. It is a difficult and extremely important role as outside of the Chief Medical Officer, you are the only one capable of performing specialized surgery.

You have received more training and experience in surgery, Medical Doctor's should NOT be performing surgeries if you are present. But at the same time, you should NOT be running around the ICU or running out to grab wounded with the paramedics.

Overview

You will start with an advanced first aid kit and surgical cap with scrubs. This outfit will denote you specifically as a surgeon and not a doctor. Your home will be Medical and the Operating rooms.

As a surgeon your main job is to perform surgery but if there is a shortage of medical staff you can and probably will be expected to help with general patient care.

The Levels of Surgery

Basic Surgery

These are able to be performed by Emergency Physicians, Medical Doctor, or a Surgeon.

  • Bone repair
  • Amputation

Advanced Surgery

These can be performed by Surgeons and some Medical Doctor's.

  • Organs in the chest and lower body.
  • Internal Bleeding
  • Autopsy
  • Hardsuit Removal

Specialized Surgeries

These can ONLY be performed by only you and a Chief Medical Officer. Performing these surgeries as anyone else may get you bwoinked.

  • Brain surgery
  • Eye surgery
  • Facial Reconstruction
  • Limb replacement (not robotic limbs)
  • Cavity surgery
  • Organ removal/transplantation
  • Necrotic Limb repair
  • Extracting organs from detached body parts
