			Prior to the establishment of the People's Republic of Adhomai following the First Revolution, noble armies utilized a simple system of hierarchy among their armies and enforcers. Commoner levies were equal in authority underneath their noble officers, who themselves followed the hierarchy of noble titles. Enforcers, in much the same way, made little distinction between themselves, with stark exception for the enforcer captain and the jail master. The new People's Republic, however, required a new system of hierarchy both to further free itself from the nobility and, more importantly, to standardize a system of salaries provided to the professional military.
