The nation is made up of hundreds of land-owning noble clans and their vassals, of which a few dozen are major influencers in the Karsekan's politics. The Karsekani is ruled by the Izweski Clan, whose current head is Karsekan Not'zar Izweski, First of His Name. The Karsekani is new to the interstellar stage, and has suffered from various growing pains as it attempts to expand into a Spur dominated by humans and Skrell while attempting to resolve the ongoing ecological collapse of their homeworld.
